iGrow, Garden of the Future

Last month I was asked to be a part of an exciting partnership between the 1by1 Foundation and Kelly Stevens' Immokalee High School class.  Kelly teaches students with disabilities. Tying into Immokalee agricultural community she has been using gardening with her students as a therapeutic experience.

Right now they have accessible farmboxes built the 1 By 1 Leadership Foundation and an afterschool program of high school students called Cultivating Immokalee. The goal is to teach her students skills that will translate into real jobs in the community.

There is a contest and a grant that we could win based on the number of votes we get from a video that iTech's multimedia students created.  I think you will agree that it is pretty special.

Please consider taking 3 minutes of your time to watch and then vote.  Remember that you can vote once a day until the contest ends on May 12th.Thank you!
